The Sky’s the Limit at Access ’98

The Independent Living Centre of Waterloo will host Access ’98 at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Complex in Kitchener, Ontario, on April 17 and 18.

This will be the fifth such exhibition of products and services for independence hosted by the centre since 1990. At least 60 exhibitors are expected to participate from around southern Ontario and the U.S. Their booths will introduce the latest in products and services to enhance lifestyles and introduce opportunities to people with disabilities, professionals, families and friends.

Mark Nagler, Canadian author of "Perspectives on Disability" and "Yes You Can: A Guide to Raising Children with Disabilities," will be speaking on April 17.

Other features of the show include a guide dog demonstration, an artisans’ corner, and performances by magician D.J. Carroll and puppet troupe Kids on the Block.

There is no charge for admission and parking. For more information about Access ’98, contact Dianne Boston-Nyp at the Independent Living Centre of Waterloo, (519) 894-8350, or check out their website at http://www.ilcwr.org/access98.
